Casa Betta is in the heart of a lovely greenery area ( pine tree, oak tree, turkey oaks or cerris, poplar tree ) in the Plateau of Cerbaie, surrounded by 16 acres of lands, where it is possible to have nice walking around a pretty lake; mushrooms and truffles picking during spring and autumn season. Every activity, regarding the animals care, and the productions of honey is done without causing interference to the nature and in a biologic way. For those who enjoy sports close to the house (1 mile), horse riding, tennis court and football fields are available. For lovers of cooking, there are many typical eating locals called “ trattoria “ , where it is possible to taste different typical Tuscany plates. There are also a lot of real restaurants of excellent quality. Casa Betta is close to a famous road ( Via Francigena ) wich in medieval times was connecting Roma with France and the rest of Europe; nowadays it is possible to take a look of that near the church of Galleno. This zone, in the commune of Fucecchio is well located to make a good itinery to the main art cities of Tuscany, as Florence ( 40 km ), Pisa ( 30 km ), Lucca ( 25 km ) and Montecatini and Monsummano ( 18 km ), well knowed for their thermal stations. The famous sea-side resort of Viareggio ( 60 km ) with the wonderful beaches of Versilia and Torre del Lago, during the summer months July and August, offer the opportunity to participate to the Puccini Music Festival. Finally for those who like skiing, Abetone ( 65 km ), located on the Appennino Tosco Emiliano, is the perfect spot. Within a radious of 15 km it is possible to visit the small historical cities of Ponte a Cappiano, San Miniato, Cerreto Guidi, Vinci, rich of monuments and historical costumes, and also a preserve area where you will discover a very particular flora and fauna. Casa Betta was first a stable barn and recently has been restored, conserving the typical Tuscan structure as stone and brickwork tiles and rooftree of woods. A creative furniture has been provided by the owners to make the idea of a lovely and suggestive ambient. This building is 100 metres from the main country house, built in the 18th century. It is possible to choose between two different apartments, one at groud floor and one at first floor each for a total of 4 persons. A depandance for 2 persons is also available. At guest disposal, a nice swimming pool.
