An impressive property standing on the banks of the small river that winds its way over rocks and on down the delightful little Tuscan town of Loro Ciuffenna. The two fine buildings that form La Ferriera have had a varied past; were originally an old mill in the 17th century and later an iron works in the 19th century. Today it has been reborn and the old buildings have been converted into 19 high standard apartments, all very comfortable and attractive. Great care has been taken to respect the original structure and the apartments retain many typical Tuscan features-wood beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and stone steeps.
The different size apartments are simply but comfortably, furnished in true Tuscan style with beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, most of them have their own private outdoor eating area. Set in a lovely position with many acres of surrounding grounds, there are some excellent facilities for guest, including a splendid swimming pool ( 20x12 m),wich lies on the hill above the property; a large artificial grass tennis court for the most energetic ones; laundry room, parking, reception. The enchantig medieval town of Loro Ciuffenna lies just below La Ferriera, so shops and restaurants are only 5 minutes walking. There are some good restaurants in the area where Tuscan cooking and local wines can be tasted. Florence, Siena (the famous wine region of Chianti) and Arezzo are all within easy reach.
