San Bartolomeo holiday farm - Country farm Apartments and Bed and Breakfast Perugia Umbria Italy

Originally a fortress in the 13th century, the farm was completely destroyed by fire during a siege in the second half of the 14th century, hence its name "Casa Brucaiata".

During the 15th century it was rebuilt as was the nearby village. The recent reconstruction has retained the original architectural features and has restored the farm to its ancient splendour. Today San Bartolomeo is divided into seven wonderful and beautifully furnished apartments. At guest disposal a panoramic swimming pool with a large garden, lawned terrace with sun loungers, barbecue and wooden tables. At San Bartolomeo there is also a restaurant It is open late evening upon reservation  and offers typical menus with regional products tasting.The 350 hectare farm overlooks the charming Nese valley and is surrounded by great chestnut trees, marvellous ancient oaks, olive trees and ponds which render the farm an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Its stategical position, not so far from Trasimeno lake, allows to reach some of the most beautiful and interesting umbrian cities such as Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto.
