Florence is just 45 minutes away by car, but the surrounding countryside  is worth to be explored.

San Godenzo, 3 km away, with its foundations dating back to 1082, hosts an ancient Benedectine abbey, a fine example of romanesque architecture. Dicomano, 10 km away, a market town since the middle ages and Vicchio, 15 km away, the birth place of Giotto, are worth a visit. During the summer and autumn you’ll often see medieval festivals and traditional local events.
