Overview
Il Boscaiolo is a comfortable "agriturismo"situated in The Marches, a region of central Italy, high in the Appennines of Pesaro province, where The Marche meet Umbria. It stands on a hill about 700 metres above sea level near the village of Apecchio. The surrounding countryside is rather special with green wood, majestic mountains and pure cool air. The large sixteenth century stone farmhouse (available throughout the year) was probably built by Benedectine monks from the nearby Abbey of Scalocchio. For those interested in art Il Boscaiolo is a good base for visiting centres of Renaissance and for following the "Piero della Francesca Trail". Urbino, Perugia, Sansepolcro, Monterchi, Arezzo, are within easy reach. The apartments are beautiful and comfortable. The building has been accurately restored and furnished to its ancient splendour. The house is divided into two large apartments (Seriola and Scalocchio) and one smaller (Tartufo), all self-contained with independent entrances. On the lower ground floor there is also a large communal room (taverna), with a fireplace and Satellite TV, that is suitable for both recreational activities and business meetings. The two large apartments have a spacious living/dining-room with antique fireplace and galley kitchen, three double bedrooms (sleeping 6, with 2 extra beds available if required). The countryhouse is surrounded by a large and grren garden ; at guest disposal a 12 x 6 mt pool, barbecue, bowls ground.
